Antonio Hernandez, who is also known by his nickname “Cholo”, is a Mexican-American convicted murderer and former gang member. He was featured in the award-winning 2016 documentary film They Call Us Monsters.
On May 26, 1993, when Hernandez was just 16 years old, he and two other members of his gang fatally stabbed another teenage boy in what they claimed was an act of retaliation.
